The first VK-OK QSO on 24 GHz and new EME world 24 GHz distance record |
| Alan VK3XPD confirmed our JT4F QSO (-16dB/-16dB) today at 07:13 UT. New EME world distance record on 24 GHz between QF22ND and JN79DW is 15931 km. It was the first VK-OK 24 GHz QSO. Alan uses 12 W TWT PA, that's output was feed by 3 m of flex waveguide to dish. QSO was completed without Doppler correction, reports would be even better with correction of Doppler shifts. Alan has Moon noise 1.1 dB, we measured Moon noise 2.4 dB a Earth noise 3.3 dB at -5°C and 90% humidity. |

| We synchronize transverter to GPS in this 3 cm test, but because of some issue in our PC we cannot decode any JT4E signals. Rex decodes all our relations. |

| Rex VK7MO starts his trip around Australia today. He visits his family members and takes his 3cm EME QRP rig. His first stop was at Kevina VK4UH and Phila VK4IIO at QG62KP. We made JT65C QSOs with all of them.Rex could not use optical navigation because of the rain. Signals were mot on expected quality even with low spread so we don't test CW QSO. |
