Tonda were active on 23 cm. He was trying to QSO Herman FK/DL2NUD. He copied on JT65B UA3PTW -17 dB, OK2DL -10 dB and FK/DL2NUD -26 to -28 dB between 08:30 and 09:00 UT. Later on from 09:31 UT on JT65C OK2DL -7 dB and FK/DL2NUD -27 dB. Hermann was all the time -20° from horizontal polarization, but we haven't succeeded.

Not translated: EME Vánoce

Our families were supportive (at least in part - HiHi) and we could leave festal board for our EME QTH in the late evening. The reason was Bodo in Philippines on 1296 MHz. Tonda installed feed to the focal point in about -5 deg. and we have our echos. Immediately when we tune to .090 we see Bodo's signal and decode him -22dB. We didn't spend there more than one hour, so we only saw 5 more JT signals calling Bodo. Nice Christmas gift, new DXCC, initial and field on JT 1296 MHz.

December 21st 2010

Tonda were QRV on 13 cm, he had sked with S59DCD on 13 cm. Just two QSO, S59DCD as new EME DXCC, initial and LZ1DX Ned.

December 12th 2010

Tonda and Vlada were QRV on 13 and 9 cm because Luis CT1DMK announced that he is QRV on 13 cm and Lars SM4DHN on 9 cm. They succeeded in both cases. The first QSO today was with S59DCD, radio club from Slovenj Gradec on 9 cm, then with Lars SM4DHN as new initial and DXCC on 9 cm. We also heard Viljo ES5PC. Later on when we QSY to 13 we made QSO with Peter G3LTF and contacted Luis CT1DMK as the first CT-OK QSO, new DXCC and field on 13 cm. The first QSO was SSB and then CW.

November 28th 2010

Still on 23 cm on Sunday, three CW QSOs, John PA7JB and Mikhail RA3AUB as CW initials and 4 JT QSOs. The only initial on JT was Al W5LUA. It was very nice EME weekend, all works well and we don't have to repair anything! Let's continue this way.

November 27th 2010

Tonda and Vlada continue on 23 cm. They made 5 CW QSO - Petr OK2ULQ as initial and 9 JT QSOs including the first OY-OK QSO on 23 cm with Jan OY3JE. Other intials were Lawrence W7IUV, Juan LU8ENU, Alexander UY2QQ and again Bodo BV2A, today from PL04.

November 26th 2010

Tonda and Vlada were QRV on 23 cm. Only four JT QSO but new JT DXXC Bodo as BV/DL3OCH from PL05 at Taiwan.

November 2nd 2010

Done! Yes, after four visits at our QTH Tonda and Vlada successfully finished JT QSO with CE/DK2ZF on 432 MHz.

ARRL EME contest weekend

Tonda and Vlada continue on 1296 MHz on Sunday. 4 CW QSOs with one new intial F5SE/P and 16 JT QSOs; four new JT initials PA7JB, UT3LL, UA4API and SV1CAL were done.

ARRL EME contest weekend

We were QRV on 432 MHz on Saturday. Only few QSOs, ES6RQ as new JT initial. For the second orbit we selected 1296 MHz, 6 JT QSOs were finish before midnight. Initials was SM0ERR.

432 MHz test

Almost the very same story as few day ago, Rolf had strong wind and could hear him with very deep QSB, but we were not successful.Only one 432 MHz initial QSO with K7QX.

October 26th 2010

Tonda and Vlada waited for Rolf CE/DK2ZF, we heard him only for a while, then two new 432 MHz initilas, K2UYH and UT6UG.

October 24th 2010

Some problem with notebook setting doesn't allow us finish QSO with CE/DK2ZF on 432 MHz. Rolf decoded us -20 dB. Tonda could see nice signal on waterfall, but no decode. Later on Tonda finish four new 432 MHz JT initials, PA3DZL, WA4NJP, K4EME and W7MEM.

October 14th 2010

Test of new 1296 MHz SSPA

Tonda and Jirka OK1DCI tested our new 1296 MHz SSPA. They just connected all controls and tested own echos. Moon was at apogee but own echoes were strong. The output power was over 1000 W. More info and photos is here.

October 5th 2010

Tonda and Vlada were QRV on 432 MHz for CE0/DF2ZF expedition, they QSOed them just before Moon set -22/-24 dB. It is our JT initial #40 and it was the first CE0 - OK QSO.

September 25th 2010

ARI CW EME contest

Tonda and Vlada were QRV in ARI CW EME contest on 23 and 13 cm during the second orbit (Saturday evening till Sunday morning). They focused on new initials but haven't been very successful. Only two new initials, Ian G5WQ on 23 cm and Michael DL1YMK/A from his second QTH in JO33 on 13 cm. They were also QRV on 23 cm JT. 2 CW QSOs were made on 13 cm, 13 CW QSOs and 5 JT65 QSOs on 23 cm.

MW part of ARRL EME Contest 2010

We continue on 6 cm till the end of the first orbit. 5 additional QSOs were made, total 10 QSOs in the contest.

Vlada finished reconfiguration of our 10 GHz transvertor with new SSPA power supply (DB6NT design). We run about 35 W rf in the feed with current driver. We tested it on Sunday afternoon; 6 QSOs on 3 cm we made including SP3DRT as initial #53. Having nobody else but just noisy waterfall, we agreed with Brian, G4NSS a JT test on 3 cm. Surprisingly quite easy at 13:40 we made our first ever JT4G 3cm QSO at avg -25/-24 dB regardless wide spread at that time abt. 150Hz by Moonsked SW of GM4JJJ. Tnx to Joe, K1JT for really great SW.

Later on measured Sun noise at 17.8 dB/SF82; Moon noise 2.8 dB and G/CS 5.3dB. After half a year of QRT it was quite happy 3cm afternoon on Sunday, and our first JT4G QSO on 3 cm with Brian G4NNS -25/-24 dB.

The picture shows PC screen shot during our JT4G QSO with Brian.
